Welcome Shiyam! You might also be interested in the ubuntu touch work.
Specifically the core apps which are written in qml/qt. You can hack on
the apps and help write / maintain the tests for them. Check out the
wiki and please feel free to ask questions!
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/CoreApps
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/CoreApps/Testing
There's a great community on g+, IRC and a mailing list for the core
apps if they interest you.
No matter were you contribute, we are happy to have you on the team!
Welcome again,
Nicholas

Thank you evereyone. I got started with a bug. Bug #1253994 :
https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1253994
I assigned it to myself, my I don't know how to add others and a mentor,
because I dont know anyone yet. I also don't have any idea, as to how I
should get the source code of that error prone code. Thank you.
You cannot add mentors on a bug, you can however ask on irc, mailing lists or
other resources. To get the code you can run:
pull-lp-source package
On this case: pull-lp-source nautilus
There exist a guide at:
http://packaging.ubuntu.com/html/fixing-a-bug.html
Which explains how to use bazaar, pbuilder, and other related tools which are
useful when fixing bugs.
Hope you find it useful. Cheers
