I like the idea. Your index page I like mostly. A simple way to manage all pages of a specific wiki and for navigation. That is the only thing I could the QA wiki really needs.
In fact making an index is policy in the Ubuntu Documentation Team, and can be done following <https://moinmo.in/HelpOnCategories>.
