I know this was a long time ago but just in case anyone else is running into it.
The apache2ctl command doesn't seem to be picking up the library path. Upgrading etc didn't improve the situation (I'm at 8.04). I got around this by adding an 'export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib' into this command script. Works fine now. There must be something specific in my set-up that's causing the problem, because this is a real killer for, yet no one else seems to have come across it. Also, I noticed that if I had only one site enabled the problem would go away. -- php5 missing symbol prevent apache2 to start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200661 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
