Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

When you have 'force group = xxx' you receive "Network path not found"
error in a WinXP client trying to access share that contains the force
group directive.

Description:    Ubuntu 8.04.1  Release:        8.04
samba:
  Installed: 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.5
  Candidate: 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.5
  Version table:
 *** 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.5 0

smb.conf
[global]

using ldap backend

[Test]
  comment = for testing only
  path = /path/to/test
  read only = no
  write list = +test
  force group = +test

directory test is 775 root.test

When I comment out force group I can connect from an XP client no
problem.
