I have two servers with Ubuntu 8.04 and the xen kernel, I use lvm volumes for the xen guests. On different occasions the servers crashed, all the crashes happened during lvm actions (for example when I made an lvm snapshot or when I tried to build an ext3 filesystem on a new logical volume).

I have the same setup on a debian server and I never had a problem there.
