She's able to deploy percona-cluster direct from the Ubuntu archive on Ubuntu 14.04 to support this requirement. Tony works for a company that has mandated use of Oracle MySQL; he's able to deploy a fully supported solution direct from the Ubuntu archive on Ubuntu 14.04. [ASSUMPTIONS] Percona packaging will enter Debian/Ubuntu before 14.04 release. + MySQL 5.5 remains upstream supported until 2018, so no hard requirement for transition to 5.6 in 14.04 dev cycle. [RISKS] [IN SCOPE] - MySQL + MySQL (inc re-sync with Debian) MariaDB Percona Server [OUT OF SCOPE] Changing the vendor of default, supported MySQL solution Changing the version of MySQL for 14.04 - 5.5 is supported through to 2018. [USER ACCEPTANCE] [RELEASE NOTE/BLOG] Ubuntu 14.04 continues to provide MySQL 5.5 as the default, supported MySQL implementation. Initial MySQL 5.6 package is also provided as an alternative for users. Ubuntu 14.04 includes Percona Server 5.x.x, a MySQL alternative, and Percona Cluster 5.x.x, an Active/Active MySQL implementation.
