Tony works for a company that has mandated use of Oracle MySQL; he's able to deploy a fully supported solution direct from the Ubuntu archive on Ubuntu 14.04. [ASSUMPTIONS] Percona packaging will enter Debian/Ubuntu before 14.04 release. MySQL 5.5 remains upstream supported until 2018, so no hard requirement for transition to 5.6 in 14.04 dev cycle. Initial MySQL 5.6 package is also provided as an alternative for users.
