The patch applies cleanly on the latest mailman for Lucid, 
mailman_2.1.13-1ubuntu0.2.
Yes, I know... I am running an old distro.

It seems this has been fixed in Debian Wheezy, currently mailman_2.1.15.
Same applies for the latest package in Precise.

I have attached a diff between the current Lucid and Precise versions.
As you can see, not much is different from the patch I made earlier.

Since the changes are minimal, couldn't we just copy the script from
Precise and put it in an updated package for Lucid?
