Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
This package uses upstart on Ubuntu, which uses files in /etc/init/ rather than /etc/init.d/. Considering this, please could you explain why files missing in /etc/init.d/ is a bug? Once you're replied, please change the bug status back to New. Thanks! ** Changed in: nis (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nis in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1303717 Title: (trusty) missing /etc/init.d/ files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nis/+bug/1303717/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
