Except maintainer information in debian/changelog the only difference is - some whitespace syntax in debian/nagios3-common.postrm. The Debian + some whitespace syntax in debian/nagios3-common.prerm. The Debian version of the script does exactly the same thing as the Ubuntu version, and also happens to be slightly tidier.
