Thierry, could you please simply attach the patch you used instead? I've been looking into this today, I can't reproduce the issue with the default settings (without user_friendly_names), as expected. I can see how this would happen with friendly-names though, because then the parts of dm_p_separator.patch that apply this separator only if the device name ends in a number would get run.
Now, my only issue is that I'm not sure what else this might break if we were to change parted to use '-part' instead of 'p' as a separator. It would at least need to be checked against the installer to make sure it doesn't break install (though I don't expect it to). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1473903 Title: parted will generate two devices when adding one partition on mpath device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1473903/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
