This is an odd error to have: mysqld: Can't read dir of '/etc/mysql/conf.d/' (Errcode: 2 - No such file or directory)
Do you indeed not have that directory on your system? Maybe you should try reinstalling the package: sudo apt update sudo apt install --reinstall mysql-server-5.7 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.7 in Ubuntu.
