You missed log.smbd and log.nmbd. These are important, since they are the most recent logs from each one of these services. Could you please attach them?
That being said, I see a couple of issues already: a) you configure the guest account as being "smbguest", but the logs complain that this user does not exist. Do you have it? Try: id smbguest sudo pdbedit smbguest b) It seems that at least sometimes when samba starts up, there is no network configured on that machine. Maybe it's a desktop and you only have networking after you login and network-manager takes over? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1734359 Title: package samba 2:4.6.7+dfsg-1ubuntu3.1 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso instalado el script post-installation devolvió el código de salida de error 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1734359/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
