Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that you're using a non-standard location for your data directory (datadir option in my.cnf). However mysqld apparmor profile (in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld) hasn't been updated to allow access to the custom directory.
See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingApparmor#Debugging%20procedure for more information on how to update mysqld apparmor profile. ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- package mysql-server-5.1 5.1.37-1ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/426704 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-dfsg-5.1 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
