When i used my DLINK Networkdrives on UBUNTU 8.04.1 i could login in protected
maps with user and password that was configured in de Network drive.I received
a login screen.
Now with UBUNTU 8.10 you do not receive de login screen but only a message that
the connection is not possible.
Maps on the drive that are not password protected can be reached.
Coudn't continue using UBUNTU 8.10 due to this issue because i use nothing else
than Network Drives.
Reinstalled 8.04.1 and everything is working fine again.
It seems to be a security priority issue or maybe something that needs to be
set-up.

** Affects: samba (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
