You have been subscribed to a public bug: Using Ubuntu 9.04 x64, x32. I don't know how where to read samba version. Samba is installed, works OK.
When Ubuntu is started: smbclient -L localhost -U% shows all the shares I configured in smb.conf smbclient -L 192.168.0.14 -U% returns the error message: failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED). NOTE: the IP is the IP of the machine itself (not a remote machine). If I run manually sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart Then samba is working OK. This bug occurs on all machines, in spite the fact that samba service is started in Administration / Services (and also via the rcconf tool). samba service must start and be responsive to remote access (of the local LAN) automatically and without requiring the manual restart. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- samba service denies connection after reboot https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/428552 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
