Public bug reported: To fix bug 453177, a dependency to "ecj" was added to eucalyptus in order to link the /usr/share/java/ecj.jar file. However ecj.jar is part of package "libecj-java" which is a dependency of "ecj".
Using "ecj" instead of "libecj.jar" adds a few unnecessary dependencies that eats up remaining space of the server CD (GCJ stuff). ** Affects: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Assignee: Thierry Carrez (ttx) Status: Triaged ** Affects: eucalyptus (Ubuntu Karmic) Importance: Wishlist Assignee: Thierry Carrez (ttx) Status: Triaged ** Changed in: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Changed in: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-9.10 ** Also affects: eucalyptus (Ubuntu Karmic) Importance: Wishlist Status: Triaged ** Changed in: eucalyptus (Ubuntu Karmic) Assignee: (unassigned) => Thierry Carrez (ttx) -- Unnecessary depend on "ecj" adds too many packages to server CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455246 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to eucalyptus in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
