This is because the "zenmap as root" menu entry uses su-to-root. su-to- root is in the "menu" package which we don't use in Ubuntu by default. As a workaround, you can install the "menu" package and it should work.
For Lucid, we should replace the call to su-to-root in zenmap- root.desktop with calls to gksudo or gksu or whatever the desktop team prefers nowadays. ** Changed in: nmap (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: nmap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- zenmap not installed to menus properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461271 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nmap in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
