Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

I was using the update manager, and I got a crash report with the
message "Sorry, the package "samba 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.3" failed to install
or upgrade."

1) I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from the previous release - btw. the upgrade
did NOT go smooth).
2)" ~$ apt-cache policy samba " returns:

samba:
  Installed: 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.3
  Candidate: 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5.3
  Version table:

     2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5 0
