ok, I'll test this the easy (and slow) way. I have set up two servers with Lucid and libvirt and will leave them running a few days. They have nothing to do and no virtual machines are running on them. A cronjob is set up to output the memory usage every hour. Next monday, I'll be in the office and see if there's any change in memory usage.
