You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: system-config-printer
In pre-10.04 LTS versions of Ubuntu you could navigate to an Windows XP machine with a shared Printer and start using it. In Ubuntu 10.04 if you navigate to a Windows XP machine you just get the print$ share with a load of files under it. It used to show you an icon of the available printers. Also using the System|Admin|Printing CUPS thing you cannot "scan" the network and find a printer. Something isn't working properly? I don't know - sorry. Is it Samba or CUPS? ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Cannot setup remote printers to Windows XP from Ubuntu 10.04 https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/575917 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
