Hello Rajeev, thank you for taking the time to file this bug report and
help us make Ubuntu better.

I'm not sure what CARMEN is, but this seems to be the problem:

Setting up mysql-server-5.1 (5.1.41-3ubuntu12.7) ...
mysql stop/waiting
CARMEN - Carnegie Mellon Robot Navigation Toolkit - Version 0.7.0

Could not connect to central.

Did you remember to start central?
Did you remember to set your CENTRALHOST variable? It is currently not set.
ATTENTION: An error has occured. More info is in the syslog!

dpkg: error processing mysql-server-5.1 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of mysql-server:
 mysql-server depends on mysql-server-5.1; however:
Package mysql-server-5.1 is not configured yet.

It would appear that whatever CARMEN is it has caused an error during
the post-isntall script for mysql-server-5.1, but it would appear that
there will be "more info in the syslog".

Can you please look in /var/log/syslog for any relevant info that might
help us understand why this might exit with an error status? It might
also help to include the output of 'dpkg -l' in a text file uploaded
here, so that we can try and duplicate the problem.

Marking Incomplete pending response from Rajeev.

** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.1 (Ubuntu)
