Could you please try the following: Once that is finished, try the following, which will try to configure any unconfigured packages: sudo dpkg --configure -a Try to install any missing packages: sudo apt-get -f install Now I also notice one thing in DpkgTerminalLog that might be the cause of error: 1. hostname: Name or service not known Please verify that the hostname utility is installed and the hostname of your machine is correctly set.
