Public bug reported: On Ubuntu 11.04 Server,
# service libvirt-bin start start: Job is already running: libvirt-bin That's just wrong. There's no such process. There's also no /var/run/libvirtd.pid file. This continues to happen after a full purge of libvirt-bin and reinstall of 0.8.8-1ubuntu6.2. Nothing's showing up in the logs either. The one thing for certain is that it's not true that the "Job is already running." If that's the best error message upstart can give for whatever the problem is here, libvirt-bin should go back to using a standard init.d file. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/809632 Title: libvirt-bin upstart process issues wrong message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/809632/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
