I'm guessing you saw 'ubuntu-pass' in tools/uncloud-init. That is mostly obsolete, if you want to use it you need to boot with: init=/usr/lib/cloud-init/uncloud-init ubuntu-pass=ubuntu
I'd suggest it would be better to use nocloud-net and pass a seed url. then you can use all of cloud-config configuration (which includes the ability to set a password and allow login via that password). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/846057 Title: cloud-init on oneiric does not honor "ubuntu-pass=*" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/846057/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
