Hi carobaer. There are actually two separate nagios-plugins packages which are installed when on asks for 'nagios-plugins'. nagios-plugins- basic, and nagios-plugins-standard.
The basic plugins are probably what you want. Depends: libc6 (>= 2.8), libssl1.0.0 (>= 1.0.0), procps, iputils-ping, ucf The -standard plugins add support for querying samba, mysql, sensors, etc. etc. Also, you may want to try installing without recommended pieces, either by using apt-get --no-install-recommends , or by turning off recommends in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99synaptic where it says APT::Install-Recommends "true"; (make it false). Either way, this isn't a bug at all, just a misunderstanding of what the package does, so I've converted this to a question. ** Changed in: nagios-plugins (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios-plugins/+question/175766 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nagios-plugins in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872448 Title: nagios-plugins-standard depend list To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nagios-plugins/+bug/872448/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
