Public bug reported: On two separate computer I have run a software update and apache2 mod_write stopped working. It appears that the module is enabled and can be enabled / disabled through a2enmod / a2dismod. apache2ctl -t -D DUMP_MODULES 2>&1 |grep rewrite also indicates that it is enabled.
The page received is a "no data received" from server page. If I put miscellaneous characters in the .htaccess file I get the same page. If I remove the file the index.php script is parsed as would be expected.
