Hi Sithu Looks like you might have a problem upgrading due to a version which has been installed from a PPA:
mysql-client-5.5 5.5.21-2~ppa1~oneiric The mysql-5.5 package in precise supports upgrade from earlier versions of mysql (5.1). I would recommend you un-install this version first and then try to re- install the version from the main Ubuntu archive.
