Subject: [Bug 1136992] Re: package amavisd-new-postfix 1:2.6.5-0ubuntu3.2
failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed
post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Thanks for reporting this
Looking at the terminal log, seems that your problem is related with
configuration. Your log is stating:

Starting amavisd: head: cannot open `/etc/mailname' for reading: No such file
or directory
The value of variable $myhostname is "bjc-sjm", but should have been
a fully qualified domain name; perhaps uname(3) did not provide such.
You must explicitly assign a FQDN of this host to variable $myhostname
in /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-node_id, or fix what uname(3) provides as a host's
  network name!

Please take a look at this thread:

In order to solve it. Thanks

Status in “amavisd-new” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I tried using aptitude after booting into the 'fix it' choice one gets
when a problem is detected furing the previous session.

this has something to do with intercommunication with one of several
  antivirus programs, and linux

a certain library is marked as missing.... and when I use apt-get
install, i am told no such program exists.

I wish I had written the script's name down.... something like uavuj
but I am not sure. I can always pull it up if you of you wants to
  communicate with me

meanwhile, I am gonna try and reinstall my clamAVand see if that helps
