Thanks for submitting this bug. Based on dmesg, it looks like the vsftpd executable was deleted before the attempt to remove the package. If I understand correctly, you have now successfully removed vsftpd, and dont' care to reinstall it. I'll go ahed and mark the bug invalid (meaning unreproducible, so we cannot get more information), please reply if that is not correct.
