The only issue I had with 2.2.6 on 8.10 (server) was a wrong symbolic link to smarty in /usr/share/gallery2/lib. After correcting that, all seems to work. With G2 2.3 under Ubuntu 9.04 beta that issue is gone. I'm doing these exercises because I'm in a transition phase from Mandriva Linux to Ubuntu server. So I'm building a new mail/web/gallery2/e107 server from scratch. Some things are quite different w.r.t. Mandriva. Gives the old man (54) some more gray hairs.
