Hello all! After a few weeks of nasty transition in bionic-proposed, and thanks to the valiant efforts of xnox, slangasek and xevious (as well as others I am sure I am forgetting), we have completed the in-archive transition from PHP7.1 to PHP7.2. I expect PHP7.1 to be removed from Bionic soon.
If you use Ubuntu and PHP, please give 18.04 a spin (in a VM, container, etc. as appropriate for your environment) and report any PHP incompatibilities in packages via bugs. I have tried to resolve as many as possible via passing DEP8 tests or package removals as I could, but I'm sure there are some missed ones.
