It's not that hard to add an icon by using alacarte. I don't care much about the menu, but perhaps for people using the applications menu on different Linux DAWs, by different distros, by different studios using Linux, it would be more comfortable to have nearly equal menus. A well-intentioned solo effort might be a handicap, instead of an advantage. IMO providing a menu that differs from the standard is contra-productive, it would be better to provide a kernel that differs from the standard kernel ;). Adding an exotic menu could become an additional PITA, we already have enough other issues: - No audio output for pro-audio cards without workarounds. - Just an experimental graphics driver for NVIDIA cards or a proprietary that will offend the GPL, when using it with a kernel-rt. There still is a working driver, but that driver is dropped, so lets force the vesa driver what screen resolution we are allowed to use or let's offend the GPL. - No kernel that enables best performance for all audio tasks. - etc. A user still has to fix tons of issues. Please make such a menu optional, don't force such exotic entries. 2 Cents, Ralf -- Ubuntu-Studio-devel mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-devel
