Are you sure that you are aware about what's going on in your mind? Have you seen "Fight Club"? The guy wasn't aware about what's going on in his mind. Seemingly not a remake of an Akira Kurosawa film, OTOH it would be nice to shoot a remake of "Fight Club" in an Akira Kurosawa style. "Cutter", is for a film job and for an Akira Kurosawa film audience member suffering from auto-aggression out of boredom. Most likely intended interaction of film and audience. Currently my favourite for the most boring film scene IIRC is from Rashômon. Robbers feel mercy with a victim because the victim's wife is spineless and Akira Kurosawa explained extensively the baseness of the wife. Every moron understands and feels it immediately, but Akira Kurosawa repeats it and repeats and ...
