-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Sounds more like a fonts problem. Is your Desktop using English or another language? You may need to reinstall your language fonts or set your fonts again in the gnome settings. I don't actually use gnome so I am not much help for the specifics.
