Jacob: Go to System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager and
click. Look for the search icon, and enter ubuntu studio and hit
enter. You should now have a large selection of ubuntu studio stuff to
install, which gives you the best of audio/video. When you restart, you
should see the ubuntu studio splash come up.

Oh, hah! I just assumed you were trying to dual-boot, and I don't even know
why.
Just to add to Tom's post, I believe it is recommended that when you update
Ubuntu to Ubuntu Studio, you should only download the packages:
ubuntustudio-audio
ubuntustudio-audio-plugins
ubuntustudio-graphics
ubuntustudio-video
Of course, you can also choose to only add the software suites that you
think you'll be using.
I have read on this list that switching the desktop set-up from a regular
Ubuntu install to the Ubuntu Studio desktop can sometimes cause issues.
