You had mentioned you were looking for a piano sound.  If you're very
serious about getting a great piano sound, you may want to purchase a copy
of pianoteq http://www.pianoteq.com as they have now released a Linux
version of their piano modeling software.  If that's too pricey for you (or
against your morals), I'd recommend downloading some soundfonts or using
zynaddsubfx.  This is a great site for soundfonts:
http://www.personalcopy.com/  There are also many other soft synths in the
repositories but I have limited experience with them.
