Kenneth, there are several ways to do this.

You can follow the way that the PPA help pages says, which is more terminal
based:
https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/InstallingSoftware

Or you can follow the help.ubuntu.com pages, which is more graphical and GUI
based, payin special attention to the 'Third Party Software Tab' section :
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu

After you have updated your repositories you will need to 'Reload' the list
of available software.  Then you should be able to search for the Rakarrack
update with Synaptic...or wait ten minutes and Update Manager should inform
you of it as well.
