I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit on one of my hard drives.
Might there be an advantage to upgrading to 14.04?

Thanks much for reply Mike. I did try the "live" DVD, just before I wrote my
(some what convoluted number one question, sorry about that), & I was rather
amazed that my audio system worked from the git go (I tried Audacious). I have,
thru the years, tried many different Linux systems on live DVD... & this is the
very first time (my) audio worked from the DVD (i.e., card recognized from
DVD). That seemed to be a good sign... & I think I agree, LTS does interest
me... I'll most probably give it a try...

Regards,
Henry
