I am highly familiar with the XAir Edit application as in my former job I operated and trained people on the X-32. However, I've never had any problems with the application on Ubuntu. That said, since it is an application not contained in the Ubuntu repositories, we cannot support it, nor would any issue with it be considered a problem with the operating system and any bug report would be deemed invalid. We have seen problems like this come across our IRC chatroom, and, unfortunately, the bottom line is that we can't support it since it is not an Ubuntu application, nor can we spare the resources to troubleshoot a problem that is related to an application installed from outside of the Ubuntu repositories. I highly recommend contacting Behringer and explaining the situation. It is their choice to support their application on Ubuntu, so it is their responsiblity to fix any bugs and imcompatibilities with their application, and to clearly state which versions of Ubuntu they support.
