Always keep your dedicated backups updated in case of any failure and you
should be fine.
Btrfs just has known issues with parity-RAIDs (5/6) and only in special cases.
Don't use any custom mounting options, just let it do its thing. Don't use
compression, if you don't absolutely have to.
Maybe make sure to use a HWE-kernel if you're running an LTS to always get the
latest updates and buxfixes.
I'd say a normal Btrfs RAID10 is pretty safe at this point.
