You can change these yourself. :) The Kubuntu team has set some sane defaults based on what users transitioning from Windows or Mac would use, and we inherit these. We're not going to change these to default based on a single user's input since that's workflow-specific for that user's needs. Of course, that's the beauty of the Plasma desktop is that it's configurable by the user to fit their needs. We just provide sane defaults. > 4. This functionality was broken in 19.10 and removed in 20.04 (and covered in those release notes). The Calamares installer doesn't even have the ability for this option. In the future, we may be able to do a minimal install option and use Ubuntu Studio Installer to add whichever metapackages you prefer for your individual setup, but this will not be the default.
