It's not a translation mistake. The current translation from 2008-12-02 in Launchpad reads "Mathematischer WYSIWYG-Texteditor mit TeX- Schriften". I can see the wrong translation in Ubuntu Software-Center though. Maybe the translation has been fixed and the package descriptions haven't been updated since then? Anybody seeing this in Oneiric?
