Hello Hans Joachim,

It seems those translations are managed in upstream by Gnome French translators.
I think I should file the bug via Gnome bugzilla.

Title:
  Typos in French translation

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  New
Status in gnome-font-viewer package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hello,

There are some typos in French translation in gnome-font-viewer 3.14.0-2 in
Ubuntu 15.04.
"Information" should be replaced by "Informations" as it contains several
informations.
"Installé" should be replaced by "Installée" as "police" is a feminine noun
in French.
"Copyright" should replaced by "Droit d'auteur".
"Visionneur de police" should be replaced by "Visionneur de polices" or
"Visionneur de polices de caractères".

  Thank you

  Jean-Marc
