A-ha! I think I have it. You're translating the translator-credits message in order to add Launchpad credits. But Launchpad produces those credits automatically, so that translation should be ignored. It seems there's a bug in how we deal with those, however, and the import fails when this happens: https://bugs.launchpad.net/rosetta/+bug/173144 The workaround is to remove translator-credits messages from non-upstream translations.
