As I understood it, the Kubuntu and Xubuntu parts had been dealt with by their respective contributors. I didn't look into things any further, since I didn't feel a need to. If that is not the case, I am really sorry about the trouble and I hope I can be be more careful keeping track of string changes / making sure everything lands on time in the future. However — though I realize this isn't the case for most others — it looks to me that the French translations for Kubuntu were last edited before UI string freeze. While I appreciate that you guys were obviously very eager to get things done on time (I could learn from that), it's impossible to guarantee that strings will not be changed at a whim before string freeze for ANY package. That includes this one. Granted, I do absolutely agree this package NEEDS to do better with communication; it has a lot of big strings that need to look and feel right no matter what languages our users speak.
