I am trying to reduce my reliance on non-free software, I am trying to
avoid getting any more, while I reduce the ones I currently use.

Come on Sun, Open Source Java! (yes I know that they announced it but
still they don't appear to have got around to actually doing it)

The only proprietary things I have at the moment are Multimedia,
flash, java, nvidia, and some 'restricted modules' for the Linux
kernel. (and the multimedia is codecs, not actually things like the
Realplayer player)
Problem is there seems to be a load of GPL'ed stuff in Multiverse, I
thought Multiverse was for non-free?

Is it: http://www.eclipse.org/php/ ?
if so it says it will be released under the terms of the Eclipse Public License
