After my first post I thought I'd better say a proper "Hi" to those that
don't know me. Not sure how active I'll be on here yet, but decided to
join as I'm expecting to use Ubuntu for customer installs (when I can
get them to use Linux on the desktop).

I'm (slowly) coming round to using Ubuntu myself, particularly after
using it on a laptop at a recent event and finding it very quick and
easy to plug a USB key into it and get it recognised. That said I
haven't yet had the time to do and install and get it customised to my
was of working yet - Debian is still far quicker to get setup the way I
like it and works out of the box on more of my machines. I guess I'm
just awkward and like to be too much in control for the 'easy to
install' distributions ;)

All that said, if I can help get Ubuntu working the way I like then it
will soon become my personal distribution of choice as well as my
customer distribution of choice :)

I can almost hear Popey muttering "oh no, who let him in here" ;)
