Going to need to know more than that ;) What sound card do you have? I had a problem with my sound card which caused mic problems and fixed it as follows: Open the volume control, and go to the options tab, under "mic select" choose Mic2 The names and position of things may be different as I am on 6.06LTS but if you find something similar to that you might want to try it.
