I've always stayed away from Gmail as I heard that Google read your email in order to target ads at you. Even if it is just a machine rather than a person, it's overstepped the privacy line for me if this is the case. Anyone know the truth about this? Also, I assume that there are therefore ads on the screen too, when you're reading your email?
